Biography
Meaghan O’Reilly is a Senior Scientist in Physical Sciences at Sunnybrook Research Institute, an Associate Professor of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto, and the Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Biomedical Ultrasound. She is the 2020 recipient of both the Frederic Lizzi Early Career award from the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU) and the IEEE Ultrasonics Early Career Investigator Award, as well as the 2022 recipient of the R. Bruce Lindsay Award from the Acoustical Society of America. She is the current Secretary General of ISTU. Dr. O’Reilly’s research interests include ultrasound therapy applications in the central nervous system, and she has made notable contributions to methods for delivery, monitoring and control of microbubble-mediated therapies in the brain and spinal cord.
