Date: Friday, February 4, 2022 | 1pm – 2pm EST
Join Zoom Meeting: https://ryerson.zoom.us/j/93835621657?pwd=VHB4L3ljRVBRWHBpRGpQYm5mdG9kUT09
LECTURE TAKEAWAYS:
- Learn about fuzzy uncertainty modelling for finance applications. The main goal is to present and exchange ideas between scientists involved in modelling uncertainty in various application areas, i.e., finance (current research) and medical diagnostics (possible future research).
- Explore the concept of financial time series prediction and forecasting. The main goal is to extend from the traditional statistical models to the hybrid models, which are combinations of machine learning and statistical approaches to sequence data.
- Understand multispectral and hyperspectral image data analysis. The goal is to build an open-source platform to process and analyze high-dimensional biomedical microscope image data.
